Where do you plan events?
Based in the Midlands of South Carolina and available for travel.
How far in advance should we book?
Weddings typically book 9–12 months out; month/day-of books 2–6 months out. Corporate/social events book 4–12 weeks out.
What are your starting prices?
Full-Service Wedding Planning — starts at $2,500
Month/Day-Of Coordination — starts at $1,200
Corporate Events — packages start at $2,000
Social Events (Party Package) — packages start at $1,000
Notary Services — starts at $200
Do you offer partial planning?
No. We focus on Full-Service and Month/Day-Of so we can deliver a streamlined experience.
Do you charge an overtime fee?
Yes. Additional time is $100/hour.
How do we reserve our date?
A signed agreement and retainer secure your date.
What forms of payment do you accept?
Credit/debit cards are preferred.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes—milestone payment schedules are available. Final balance is typically due 30 days before the event. (
Are travel fees required?
For overnight events, travel applies: $300 for one night or $400 for two nights (plus tax). Additional mileage or flights/lodging may apply for longer distances.
Will you have an assistant or team on site?
Yes. Staffing is based on guest count, logistics, and venue layout.
Do you work with preferred vendors?
Yes. We’ll recommend trusted professionals and also gladly collaborate with your chosen vendors.
Will you create a timeline and floor plan?
Absolutely. We manage your master timeline and logistics; Full-Service includes full design support, and Month/Day-Of includes final timeline + layout confirmation.
Do you set up décor?
We coordinate and style client-provided small décor/signage. Large installs (balloons, lighting, rentals, florals) are handled by respective vendors.
What does Month/Day-Of include?
We step in 6–8 weeks out: confirm vendors, finalize timeline/layout, coordinate rehearsal, and fully manage the wedding day.
Do you handle gratuities and final payments?
Yes—upon request, we can distribute prepared envelopes to vendors on your behalf.
What if we need to move our date?
We’ll do our best to transfer to your new date based on availability. A change fee may apply; third-party vendor policies vary.
What is your cancellation policy?
Sophisticated Events does not offer refunds on deposits. However, if your full balance is paid at the time of contract signing, you are eligible for a refund (minus the non-refundable deposit) within 30 days of payment.
Do you carry insurance?
Yes—business liability insurance is provided. Some venues may also require client event insurance.
What types of corporate events do you manage?
Meetings/trainings, appreciation events, galas, brand activations, and more—run-of-show, AV/venue coordination, registration, and on-site execution.
What’s included in the Party Package?
Everything listed on the flyer plus 5 hours of time—perfect if you want an elevated celebration and help securing trusted vendors.
How quickly do you respond?
Business hours responses within 24–48 hours; urgent day-of client needs are prioritized.
How many meetings are included?
Based on package scope. Full-Service includes planning/design/vendor meetings; Month/Day-Of includes a final details meeting and rehearsal.
